Prep Enrolments for 2019
Canterbury Primary School provides a welcoming school community and we look forward to working in partnership with all parents and children who will be beginning school in 2019.
We know that the transition from pre-school to school is extremely important for all children. Our Prep Transition program has been developed to:
- Prepare students for a successful transition to school
- Provide parents with the information they need to learn about our school and the transition program
- Ensure that pre-school and school teachers establish communication to support the needs of individual students.
Tours of the school will be held each day during Education Week commencing on Monday 21 May 2018.
Tours before and after Education Week can be arranged by appointment.
Bookings are required for all tours so please contact the school office on 9836 4537.
Details of the enrolment process will be shared during these tours or you can contact Bronwen Pickford, our Enrolment Officer on the number listed above.
Students will be invited to participate in a comprehensive transition program in Term 4 to familiarise themselves with learning in the school environment.
Parents will be invited to an afternoon tea at the end of Term 3 where they will be provided with the details of the transition program. Parents will also be invited to attend a series of information sessions that will be conducted in the school throughout the transition program. These will include information about the school, the learning program and provide opportunities for parents to meet each other.
All parents will be invited to an evening Information session in December where they can meet their child’s class teacher.
Families will also be welcomed into the school community at a number of events such as the Prep family welcome picnic and Celebration on the Green in December.
